Miss Kimmie Hartsell

Hello all who wonder!

I graduated from Carlow University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. In 2012, I graduated with my Master’s of Science Degree in Child and Family Counseling, which is also from Carlow.

I began my time with the Campus School as a work study student while completing my Bachelor’s Degree. I moved onto a position as an assistant of the extended day program in 2010. In 2012, I became the lead teacher of the extended day program in Trinity Hall. I also worked as the lead teacher in the summer camp program for two years. I started in the preschool classroom in 2013 with Miss Val. Miss Val and I have been working together ever since. Last year (2017-2018) I taught art to the Trinty building. Art is something I enjoy in my personal life and it was an amazingly fun experience to teach it to young children. This year (2018-1019) I teach library class three days a week (Monday-Wednesday). I also enjoyed four months in Montessori, as the permenant sub assistant teacher, before being hired in traditional preschool.

Fun Facts About Me:

I am an identical twin. My sister's name is Kellie. I am older by ten seconds! 

I have five nieces and nephews, who are like my own children; Joshua (15), Ava Grace (12), Nevaeh (8), Caleb (7), and Isabella (3).

I love dogs! I have a Jack Russell Terrier, Chance (9). We enjoy taking long walks and he is the light of my life. :)

Over the summer I started to paint on canvas. I don't feel like I will ever be Claude Monet, but I enjoy it!
