Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Valerie Patilla

I graduated from Carlow University in May 2007 with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education.  This past August  began my eighth year as a Preschool teacher at the Campus School.  Previous to that  I taught infant-preschool age children at the Early Learning Center of Carlow University.  In August 2008 I became the Infant-Toddler Coordfinator at the Early Learning Center.  While the coordinator I oversaw accreciation processes and I am happy to say that the Early Learning Center achieved its first Level 4 Keystone Star status and our NAEYC accreiation was renewed.

As an early childhood teacher, I believe that young children have taught me to be more empathic and patient.

I enjoy reading and traveling.  My favorite authors are Linda Fairstein and Patricia Cornwell. I have be blessed to have visited Italy, France, Australia and the Caribbean.

In August 2018 I adpoted a rescue German Shepperd.  Hope is the sweetest dog who loves to play ball and have her belly rubbed afterwards.
